Qualifying diplomats must possess a visa with one of the following classifications: A-1, A-2, G-1 through G-4, NATO-1 through NATO-4, US Black Diplomatic Passport.
U.S. diplomats do not have visa classifications. To qualify for the special diplomat price, you must possess your diplomat passport. U.S. diplomats possessing official passports must also submit a letter signed by your superior on the official letterhead of your organization, certifying that you enjoy diplomatic privileges and immunities for performing your duties abroad. The UN passport laissez-passe does not qualify.
Your diplomat’s passport must clearly show:
- Front cover of passport
- Your picture
- Your name and address
- U.S. Department of State Visa Classification (for foreign diplomats only)
- Passport number
- Date of issuance and expiration
