Extreme Temperatures Impact Car Batteries

Car batteries can sometimes be impacted by extreme temperatures outside depending on how much contact they have with those temperatures. One can easily say that high temperatures obviously have some impact on how batteries do, but can the same be said about cold temperatures. Just ask someone who lives in a cold climate because the answer is yes.

Chemical reactions are necessary to keep a battery running as it should, and the cold tends to slow those chemicals down. Thus, the performance of the battery will suffer if it is left out in the cold. Even worse than that is the fact that the battery could get so frozen that you are unable to use it at all.

These are all possible outcomes when you talk about temperatures and the role that they play on your car battery. Make sure you think carefully about this and consider what you can do to prevent the climate from impacting your battery.
