As one of the nation's oldest and largest Mercedes-Benz dealers, American Service Center (ASC) has built its reputation around delivering the finest service to these exquisite vehicles and the people who drive them. Our passion for Mercedes is echoed by our staff - many of whom are second and third generation ASC employees or have accumulated decades of devotion to ASC. We are committed to providing exceptional service to our valued customers near Alexandria, DC, Vienna, Bethesda, and beyond. As our founder, Saul Brooks, said, "take care of the customer first, that's the main thing".


Early in the history of American Service Center (ASC), along with offering Amoco gasoline and service for automobiles, it was decided ASC would also sell Hotpoint appliances and Studebaker automobiles. After the end of World War II, with the popularity and sales of Studebakers rapidly declining, in 1957 American Service Center became the first Mercedes-Benz dealer in the Washington metropolitan area. In 1998, after having been successful with various other automobile franchises, namely, Studebaker, Fiat, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Isuzu, Saab, Lancia, AMC, Lincoln-Mercury/Merkur and Buick, it was decided it would be best to focus all of our energy in doing what ASC had always done best, to sell and service only one make, JUST MERCEDES.

American Service Center was founded in 1937 by Saul Brooks and his brother-in-law Saul Gordon. It was located at the intersection of Glebe Road and North Randolph Street in Arlington, Virginia. Although the business has gone through many changes, it is still at the same location operating as a Mercedes-Benz dealership. Today, it is owned and operated by the second and third generations of it's founders. The daily operation of the business is now in the capable hands of Alvin Brooks and Morton Zetlin, the son and son-in-law of Saul Brooks. Mark Zetlin, Morton's son, is currently the New Mercedes-Benz Sales Manager.

American Service Center, through the hard work and dedication of over 300 employees, has achieved and maintained great success in the Washington Region of Mercedes-Benz USA. By constantly paying attention to Customer Satisfaction and remembering Saul Brooks' most often used directive "Take care of the Customer, that's the main thing", ASC ranks either 1st or 2nd in: New Mercedes-Benz sales; Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned sales; Service sales; Parts sales; and Body Shop sales. Our Body Shop is, not only 'Fully Certified' by Mercedes-Benz USA, but also is an 'authorized' and 'designated' repair facility for both GEICO and USAA insurance companies.
